Our programs are structured to be pedagogically correct; they are based on the way that children learn. Incorporating elements in a consistent, balanced manner helps the children to connect to the music.

Children love the structure and repetition. And they succeed at DISCOVER MUSIC with Robynn.
A typical program includes six stages. The students learn:
 |
to sing the material (voice) |
 |
to accompany the song (percussion, other instruments) |
 |
break the material into multiple parts (voice) |
 |
extend the experience still more (accompanying and conducting as well as singing) |
| |
| They then have the opportunity to: |
| |
 |
decide on how they will interpret the material when they |
 |
present the song collectively as a group |
The students ‘own’ the piece and their expression of it is unique to the group. They thoroughly understand it and have made interpretive decisions. The experience is completely child centric.
Our Repertoire:
Our repertoire is based on materials from Royal Conservatory of Music programs and is carefully chosen for both the quality of the music itself and its underlying structure. Music is selected that lends itself well to the necessary logical and sequential progression and new ideas and concepts are introduced to the students in a sequence and manner that is based on their developmental place. Children are eager to progress and learn.
